Increasingly, most of the Private Security Companies operating in Iraq, and elsewhere for UK PSCs, require SIA Close Protection level 3 qualification for the employment of PSD operatives in hostile environments.
To obtain your certificate you are required to undertake and successfully complete a 194 hour Close Protection Course compliant with the UK SIA standards. Our course is fully compliant to the UK SIA specifications and is awarded through “SFJ Awards”.
The course is instructed by highly-experienced UK licensed protection personnel who have, and continue to, operate as Close Protection operatives in all levels of threat environments worldwide.
The Level 3 Certificate For Working as a Close Protection Operative within the Private Security Industry (QCF) is awarded to successful students.
Please note that in order to attend a Close Protection Course, you need to have a valid and recognized Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) or equivalent certificate prior to starting the CP course.

Level III Certificate Close Protection
Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) is an up to date qualification underpinned by current practice. It provides learners with the knowledge and life savings skills to assess, manage and treat a patient in a trauma and/or medical emergency and to stabilize the patient for up to forty minutes before the ambulance or pre-hospital care providers arrive.
The qualification is regulated by the government department Ofqual and is clinically endorsed by the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, Faculty of Pre-Hospital (FPHC) Care and meets the Level 3 FPHC Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine Skills Framework. It is further approved by the Association of First Aiders.
On completion of the qualification, the learner will be eligible to apply to the Faculty of Pr-Hospital Care for Level 3 membership.
Progression will be available up to a level 4 and 5 diploma
(in development).
